Architecture Fundamentals, Pt. 3

Here we go...

Comments:
...and here we come again. :-)

Hi Markus,
I liked the 3rd part too. I'm tempted to write down all the words that you explain in each slide. I think I will obtain a sort of cheatsheet of the software architect.

Not that I believe in cheatsheets, but it could be useful (for me) in order to let these concepts migrate from a day-by-day vocabulary - and it's already a good result! - to a natural way of thinking.

About the "title contest" :-)
Maybe there is a mental association with your current title Unnamed, but I found most of the concepts, particularly when related to their samples, so valuable to obtain a good architecture that made me think of QWAN - Quality Without A Name.

Actually this could be true also for 1st and 2nd part, and even for all the remaining parts, but you could play with something like "Quality With Some Names", or give an on-the-road sense with "Towards a QWAN". Just my 2 cents.

Minor notes:
1. I agree in changing "Decentralization" in "Scalability". It's a more mainstream term.
2. You make me curious about Autosar, I'll look for some more information.
3. About the last slide: GUIDs stands for "Global Unique Identifiers", isn't it?

Ciao,
Umberto

I am sure I will write them down in some way, shape or form
at some time...

good idea -- I will think about it!

I think this hint at the QWAN thing (I know the term from the patterns
world) is maybe something that's relevant for the overall presentation.
I will think about it!

yes -- resulting in a globally unique identity, right?
